Free Spring Tonic Wild Food Walk
Learn to identify wild spring herbs and flowers, spend some time in nature, meet some local people, talk while you walk, and bring all your knowledge, memories and curiosity. We will finish the walk with some outdoor cooking and some wild food tasting. Please bring some food to contribute to the feast.
This walk will enable you to see your natural environment in a different way, recognising potential food sources in the green spaces around you. The walks are like a treasure hunt, you’ve got to keep your eyes peeled!
Meet in the Ruskin Park Wildlife Pond area 11am. This is situated on the other side of the tennis courts to the playground. It’s next to the gardening space. There is the new wildlife pond in this area. Please be on time as the beginning is important to set up the way we will be gathering together. We will slow walk for 1.5 hours then start cooking and feasting. We will be finished by 2pm. Children are welcome and but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
All participants will be asked to complete a feedback form after the walk.
The walk is limited to 30 participants maximum.
