Dreamy Me is me, Elena Blanco, Spanish artist and illustrator living in Herne Hill / Loughborough Junction.

I've got a passion for drawing and illustration. My drawings can be of anything and are mostly worked on journals and sketchbooks. I particularly like drawing objects, architecture and people. My illustrations come from my own picture books or from some favourite stories such as Oscar Wilde’s.

I studied architecture in Barcelona and my graphics have been strongly influenced by Catalan Art Nouveau and designer Javier Mariscal. I also love everything Japanese :)

My favourite subjects are discovery, power of imagination, parallel worlds, loss and absence, pass of time, search of identity and revolution.

Currently I'm working on some very funny alphabets, as well as on my on-going illustration project of Oscar Wilde's 'The selfish giant'. I love everything Oscar Wilde wrote or said and 'The selfish giant' was my favourite story when I was a child. You can check out my FB page to see work on progress.
