I am looking for a space I can use for small group workshops focusing on coaching and personal development. I have a limited budget about £30-45 for a full 8 hour. day. Does any one know somewhere local I could use? I'm looking for somewhere that could have evening access or Saturdays, and be used about once a month or once a fortnight. For about 6-8 people. I can imagine someone who has a studio might be interested in renting you the space once a month. They might be happy to get a little extra income. Studios tend to be in places without a tube though, e.g. Loughborough Junction, Herne Hill, Brixton Hill, would this be a problem?
Hi Andry, It was lovely to meet you the other day. I hope you are enjoying your Petina booklet. I'm afraid I don't have a solution for your need of space for workshops but have the same problem. I wonder if sharing between a few of us would help. I mean if we could find a place that a few people could use at different times and share costs...Something to bear in mind.
I think that's a great idea Elena, I can imagine quite a few people might be interested in that. Andry, I also thought you might speak to Fiona at Oh Sew Brixton about hiring her studio occasionally. We used it yesterday for the photography workshop and it's lovely. She does run a lot of workshops though so not sure if you'd be able to hire it for a full day but it might be worth asking. Unfortunately my studio is busy most evenings and weekends, although it sits empty during the weekday daytime which is a shame. What you perhaps need is someone who uses their space during 'office hours' and doesn't have too much expensive equipment or confidential documents hanging around.

That's always an interesting option, I am going to consider it and explore. I' m also settling on the idea of running a few intro gatherings in cafes in the evenings. That means its free as we could simply meet as a group, like Makerhood sometimes does. My thoughts so far are to try Caff or is it Kaff and The Lounge - I think they are comfortable spaces and not too noisy on some evenings. Any other ideas?
